Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Master Blaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walker Patton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaster comes to the cage accompanied by The Number of The Beast - Iron Maiden. Walker Patton has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Master Blaster's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Master Blaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walker Patton!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patton pushes Blaster up against the cage in a clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Patton obliges.
Patton misses with a knee to the head.
Patton landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Patton tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Blaster avoids it.
Blaster is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Patton receives a warning from the referee for stalling.

Patton can't find room to land a body shot as Blaster controls the action.

It looks like Master Blaster has been cut.

Patton lands a good knee to the midsection. Blaster won't want to take too many of those.

Patton tries to throw a body punch but Blaster avoids it by throwing Patton back against the cage.

Blaster is trying to drag Patton to the mat but Patton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Master Blaster's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Blaster uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Patton.
Patton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blaster moves away.
Blaster on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Patton. Patton obviously looking to wear him down.

Patton has taken the fight to the clinch.

Patton breaks the clinch.
Master Blaster is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Patton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Blaster manages to avoid it.
Blaster fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Blaster shoots in for a double leg but Patton sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Blaster shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Blaster was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Blaster looking to secure an arm triangle but Patton defends it well.

Blaster is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Patton can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Patton is working to get back to half guard.
Patton wants to hold on but Blaster pushes him away.

Blaster working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Patton tries to reverse the position but Blaster maintains control.

Blaster has control of Patton's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Patton regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Blaster is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Patton is surviving well by controlling Blaster's body position as best he can.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Patton has given up his back.

Patton turns into Blaster and is now in his guard.

Blaster is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Patton trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Patton slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Patton cracks Blaster with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Blaster is looking to regain half guard here but Patton keeps moving and retains side control.

Patton landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Blaster manages to get back to half guard.
Patton winds up and cracks Blaster with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Master Blaster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Blaster tries to get to full guard but Patton has control of the leg.

Blaster actively working from the bottom here.
Patton working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Blaster on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Patton lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Blaster taking some punishment here, with Patton in his half guard.
Patton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blaster with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Patton wants to work for an arm triangle but Blaster is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Blaster tries to roll over but Patton keeps him under control.
Patton tries to pass to full mount but Blaster defends it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Blaster wants to get back to full guard.
Blaster is refusing to be controlled, as Patton sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walker Patton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Master Blaster's cut.
That's time! Blaster's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Patton throws out a powerful jab.
Patton throws a hook to the side of Blaster's head but Blaster sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Patton tries to clinch there but Blaster circles away.
Blaster fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Master Blaster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Blaster.
Patton connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Blaster moves out of range as Patton strikes.
Horrible takedown by Blaster or perhaps it was just good defense by Patton which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Master Blaster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blaster shoots for a double leg takedown but Patton sprawls well. He's pushed Blaster's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Patton scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Blaster doesn't seem bothered though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Blaster has his takedown stuffed
and Patton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

A nice inside leg kick there by Patton. That's going to slow Blaster down.

Patton feints and then cracks Blaster's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blaster down.

Blaster moves forwards but Patton connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Patton lands with a thumping leg kick.
Walker Patton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Blaster dives in and grabs Patton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Patton pushes down on Blaster's head and hops out.

Patton stuffs the takedown.

Blaster walks into a left hand.
Patton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Blaster takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Patton moves into range and clinches up with Blaster.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Patton lands a nice uppercut.
Patton scores a nice knee to the body.

Patton tries to land knees in the clinch but Blaster avoids the damage to the body.
Patton makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Walker Patton is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Patton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
