Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, William Ma!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dirk has Ma up against the cage in a clinch.
Dirk lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ma backwards.
Ma wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dirk has him pressed against the cage.
Ma tries to break free but Dirk pushes him back against the cage.
Dirk throws a head punch that misses.
Ma jumps guard but Dirk turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Dirk is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ma to keep the fight standing.

Dirk throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ma blocks it with crossed arms.
Dirk throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Ma dodges an elbow strike from Dirk.

Dirk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dirk throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Dirk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dirk throws a one two combo.
Fred Dirk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice sprawl there from Dirk as Ma shoots in.
Ma fails with the takedown.
Fred Dirk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Ma.
Dirk thumps Ma with a low kick.
Fred Dirk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dirk fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dirk feints a jab promting Ma to slip. Dirk then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Ma slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Dirk misses with the combination.
Dirk tries to close the distance and clinch but Ma swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck for Ma with that takedown attempt.

and Ma counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ma.
Dirk is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ma is defending well for now.

Ma is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Still in the clinch, Dirk scores with a nice short uppercut.
Ma takes a shot to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Ma avoids the body shot from Dirk.
Dirk lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ma misses with a takedown attempt - Dirk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dirk stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Dirk lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dirk misses with a few strikes there.
Dirk keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Dirk throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.

Dirk lands a big head kick that sends Ma tumbling to the mat! Dirk takes a step backwards and waves Ma back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ma is rocked!
Ma avoids the head kick by Dirk.
Ma is still on wobbly legs! Can Dirk finish him?
Dirk throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Ma crashing down! Ma tries to stagger back to his feet but Dirk just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Ma asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
