Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Knott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Shane Johnson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shane Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sean Knott!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Knott tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Knott somewhat.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson is looking to stand up but Knott isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sean Knott will probably get the nod.

Knott fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Johnson to the ground. Knott is now in Johnson's guard.

Knott dives in and grabs Johnson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes down on Knott's head and hops out.

Knott shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johnson sprawls well. Johnson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Knott gets slowly back to his feet.

Knott drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Knott is breathing heavily.

Knott content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Johnson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Knott shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Sean Knott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Knott uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnson.

Johnson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Knott is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Johnson to the mat. Johnson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Knott seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Knott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnson avoids it really well and circles away.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sean Knott hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
