Zulu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jungle Music. King Zulu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Zulu!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zulu lands a nice shot to the body.

Zulu rushes Mercado and presses him up against the cage.
Zulu with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Mercado has had enough of the clinch but Zulu keeps him there for the moment.

Zulu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mercado swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mercado swats away the attempt to clinch by Zulu.
Mercado shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zulu as he jumps to the side.
Mercado seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Zulu shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Mercado is backing up but Zulu catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Mercado covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Zulu Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). King Zulu!
