Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joel Abadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Marko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marko has chosen Unstoppable-E.S. Posthumus as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joel Abadi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cain Marko!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abadi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Abadi wants to clinch up but Marko keeps it at a distance.
Marko takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Abadi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Marko tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Abadi is in Marko's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Marko is controlling Abadi's posture.
Marko keeping full guard, as Abadi tries to pass.
Marko wants to sweep but no luck.
Abadi passes Marko's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Marko wants to get back to full guard.

Marko is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abadi is looking to advance position but Marko won't allow it.
Marko holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Abadi is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Abadi is keen to just control but Marko is a slippery customer.

Abadi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Marko is just riding it out for now. Abadi eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marko tries to get to full guard but Abadi has control of the leg.

Abadi moves nicely into side control.
Abadi wants to control but Marko is keeping him busy.
You can see the frustration on Marko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Marko is looking to regain half guard here but Abadi keeps moving and retains side control.

Abadi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Marko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Marko manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Abadi is controlling Marko's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Marko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Marko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Abadi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marko has managed to get both his arms back between Abadi's legs - danger averted.
Marko lands a couple of decent looking shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Marko is looking to work some ground and pound but Abadi has wrist control.
Abadi has momentary wrist control but Marko slips an elbow through the middle.

Marko postures up in Abadi's guard and throws a big left but Abadi blocks it.
Abadi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Marko throws a big right hand that misses.
Marko loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marko scores with a decent looking elbow strike.


Jeez, Joel Abadi's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Joel Abadi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
