Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lakay checks a low kick from Collins.

Collins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lakay seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lakay drops back looking for a leg! Collins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Collins manages to kick Lakay off! Lakay jumps back into Collins's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Collins can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lakay seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Collins for as long as he can get away with.

Lakay cracks Collins with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Marc Jay Lakay overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lakay wants to control the pace but Collins is squirming around nicely.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lakay cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Collins holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Lakay tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Lakay pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Lakay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
