Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between San Franpsycho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Sauers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, San Franpsycho!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Sauers!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauers fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Nice uppercut lands for Franpsycho. That snapped Sauers's head back.
Sauers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Franpsycho avoids it really well and circles away.
Franpsycho works Sauers's body with a nice hook.

Sauers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sauers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sauers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Franpsycho swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sauers throws a big elbow that misses.
Franpsycho looking for a sweep. Not yet Franpsycho, not yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sauers is stalling in the full guard.
Sauers trying to control the position from guard on top but Franpsycho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sauers tries to free his leg and advance position but Franpsycho is retaining full guard.
Sauers throws an elbow that misses. Franpsycho uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sauers's guard. Nice move by Franpsycho!
Franpsycho wants to stand but Sauers has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Franpsycho is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sauers wants to sweep but no luck.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sauers keeping moving, preventing Franpsycho from controlling successfully.

Franpsycho got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sauers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Franpsycho has managed to get both his arms back between Sauers's legs - danger averted.

Sauers working for submissions but it's allowed Franpsycho to get to half guard.
Franpsycho works his way into side control.
Sauers gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sauers trying to control but Franpsycho postures up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Franpsycho is trying to control the action in half guard but Sauers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sauers trying to hold on to Franpsycho's head to control him but Franpsycho postures up.
Sauers desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Sauers is looking for a sweep. Franpsycho is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sauers shoots in for a double leg but Franpsycho sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Franpsycho throws a series of punches but Sauers moves out of range.
Sauers wants to clinch.
Sauers ducks under a wild hook from Franpsycho.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sauers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Franpsycho looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sauers throws a jab but it's blocked by Franpsycho.
Sauers will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
San Franpsycho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Sauers.
Franpsycho thows a left - swing and a miss!
Franpsycho lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Shane Sauers has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sauers looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sauers looks to score with a jab to the body but Franpsycho is just out of range.
Franpsycho stuffs the takedown attempt from Sauers. Sauers gets slowly back to his feet.
Franpsycho scores with the left hand. Sauers knows he should have avoided that one.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sauers defending well as Franpsycho loads up on a big left hand.

Franpsycho rushes Sauers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sauers swings away with an uppercut that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

San Franpsycho dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Shane Sauers's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Franpsycho lands a nice shot to the body.
Franpsycho scores with a hook.
Franpsycho throws a hook to the side of Sauers's head but Sauers sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Franpsycho circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Franpsycho throws a jab when Sauers was well out of range.
The fighters circling - Franpsycho throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Horrible takedown by Sauers or perhaps it was just good defense by Franpsycho which made him look bad.
Franpsycho throws a low kick, looking for Sauers's leg but Sauers calmly moves out of range.
Franpsycho circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Sauers to the canvas! Sauers doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Franpsycho keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). San Franpsycho!
San Franpsycho retains his heavyweight title!
