Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manny Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiki Daiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daiz has chosen Rollin as his entrance music. Tiki Daiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tiki Daiz!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Daiz was well out of range. Poor timing from Thai.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Thai.
Daiz tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Thai working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Thai is trying to ground and pound but Daiz uses the momentary lack of control by Thai to regain half guard.

Thai is working for a submission of some sort.
Daiz tries to get to full guard but Thai has control of the leg.
Thai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Daiz on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Thai throws a head kick but Daiz moves out of range.

Daiz tries to sprawl but Thai drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Thai could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Thai is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Daiz as he works his way to full guard.
Thai stays in close to Daiz's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Thai wants to control from the top but Daiz keeps moving.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Manny Thai has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Thai stalks Daiz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Daiz's face. Daiz staggers backwards, shaken.

Daiz is rocked!

It looks like Tiki Daiz has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Thai darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Daiz is still in real trouble! Can Thai finish him?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
It looks like Thai is going to stand back up.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Thai closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Daiz quickly recovers to half guard.
Daiz seems to have recovered his senses.
Thai throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Daiz blocking the ground and pound attempt from Thai.

Thai is trying to control the action in half guard but Daiz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Daiz is breathing heavily.
Thai is taking a breather. Daiz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Manny Thai wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Thai closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Daiz to the mat! Daiz manages to get full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thai accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Thai postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Thai wants to control from the top but Daiz keeps moving.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Manny Thai.
Daiz takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Daiz tries to keep at a distance but Thai has taken the fight into the clinch.

Thai manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Thai wants to stand and escape but Daiz is having none of it.
Thai is trying to control the position but Daiz postures up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Daiz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Thai dives on top into guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Manny Thai wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Thai gets a double leg takedown into Daiz's guard.

Daiz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Thai has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Daiz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Thai defends well.

Thai passes Daiz's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Manny Thai overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Daiz is looking for a sweep. Thai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
