Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conrado Guerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jethro Walrustitty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walrustitty comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Fish Slapping Dance kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Conrado Guerra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jethro Walrustitty!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerra tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walrustitty paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Guerra tries to get to full guard but Walrustitty has control of the leg.
Walrustitty wants to pass to mount but Guerra is defending the position.

The fighters are battling for position here. Guerra manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Guerra escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walrustitty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Walrustitty stands up over Guerra, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Walrustitty wants to pass the guard but Guerra is keeping the position.

Guerra is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walrustitty is aware though and is defending well.
Walrustitty has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Walrustitty is pushing down on Guerra's leg trying to pass to half guard. Guerra is fighting to maintain full guard but Walrustitty has managed to sneak the leg through.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Walrustitty is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Walrustitty seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Guerra is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Walrustitty's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Walrustitty's back!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walrustitty manages to reverse the position and now he's in Guerra's guard. Nice work there by Walrustitty.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Guerra got a little sloppy there for a moment and Walrustitty has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Guerra has managed to get both his arms back between Walrustitty's legs - danger averted.

Guerra drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Walrustitty manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Guerra has Walrustitty in his guard.

Walrustitty wants to pass the guard but Guerra is keeping the position.

Guerra working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walrustitty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walrustitty manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Walrustitty postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Guerra is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Walrustitty, into his guard.

Guerra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walrustitty swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Guerra has Walrustitty pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Guerra pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Walrustitty tumbling to the mat - Guerra dives into Walrustitty's guard.

Guerra drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guerra jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Guerra will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Walrustitty looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Guerra is defending well. Walrustitty quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Guerra has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Walrustitty celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
