Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thabang Sosibo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Ettan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ettan has chosen Enter Sandman- Metallica as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Ettan!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosibo throws a leg kick which misses Ettan's front leg but catches the back leg as Ettan tries to avoid it.
Sosibo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sosibo with a hook.
Ettan looks gassed!
Ettan gets caught napping as Sosibo dives in and scores a takedown. Ettan manages to retain guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sosibo tries to free his leg and advance position but Ettan is retaining full guard.
Sosibo trying to control the position from guard on top but Ettan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ettan lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sosibo!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Ettan avoids the attempt from Sosibo to control.
Sosibo can't escape the position.
Ettan controlling his opponent.

Sosibo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chris Ettan was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Sosibo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ettan.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ettan. Sosibo does a little dance to reset his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ettan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sosibo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thabang Sosibo dominated that round.

Sosibo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sosibo tries to move to mount but Ettan blocks the move with his legs.
Sosibo content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Sosibo is looking to take a break and control but Ettan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sosibo looking to control but instead Ettan has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Sosibo is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Sosibo looking to sit in guard and control but Ettan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We're going to have a standup here because Thabang Sosibo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Sosibo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ettan.
Oooooh!!! Sosibo has knocked Ettan down with a huge combo! Sosibo steps away and waves a wobbly Ettan back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Ettan is rocked!
It looks like Chris Ettan has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sosibo dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ettan is still on wobbly legs! Can Sosibo finish him?

Sosibo lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Ettan falls backwards - clearly groggy! Sosibo dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
