Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Dance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Dance!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shane Williams!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Williams as Dance shoots in.

Dance manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Williams on his heels. He'll look to pass Williams's guard now, I'm sure.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dance drops back, looking for a kneebar! Williams looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Williams looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Williams!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Williams connects with a leg kick. Dance looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Williams enables Dance to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Williams manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Dance swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Williams is now in Dance's guard. A big mistake from Dance there, giving up the dominant position!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dance, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
