The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGroin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.
McGroin fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from McGroin as Jackson shoots in.
Jackson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Mike Jackson has been cut.
McGroin misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pat McGroin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No luck with that takedown attempt from McGroin.
McGroin shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed McGroin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McGroin tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jackson is able to avoid easily.

McGroin bucks up and tries to throw Jackson off but instead Jackson has got his back!

Jackson scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
McGroin controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Jackson is punishing McGroin with some ground and pound.

Jackson working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. McGroin is doing well to defend. Jackson seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! McGroin is forced to tap and this one is over!
