The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uros slips under a jab.
Maynard throws a sloppy body shot
and Uros counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Mathew Maynard has been cut.
Maynard shoots in for a double leg but Uros sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Maynard misses with a body shot.
Maynard shoots in for a takedown but Uros shows good takedown defense.
Mathew Maynard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Uros moves out of range as Maynard strikes.
Maynard fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Uros misses with a left hand
and Maynard counters with a left and a right that stings Uros.
Maynard throws a jab when Uros was well out of range.
Maynard gets tackled into the cage by Uros. Uros maintains the clinch.
Uros blocks a body shot from Maynard.
Maynard swings away with an uppercut that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Uros lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Maynard or not.
A nice left hand lands by Uros.
Maynard tries to throw a body punch but Uros avoids it by throwing Maynard back against the cage.
Uros breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Uros thumps Maynard with a low kick.
Maynard moves out of range of the body kick.
Maynard takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Uros is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Maynard is breathing heavily.
Maynard misses the shot to the body.
Uros fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Maynard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Uros ducks under a wild hook from Maynard.
Jab, jab by Uros - just one landing.
Maynard is rocked!
Maynard steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Uros. That one must have hurt.
Oh Maynard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Uros lands a nice hook to Maynard's body. Maynard takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Uros goes for a small jab and connects. Now Uros goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Maynard stumbles back but Uros runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Maynard to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Maynard will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alfa Uros!
