The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badge fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McGuire manages to avoid it.
McGuire shoots for a double leg takedown but Badge sprawls well. He's pushed McGuire's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Badge lands a two punch combo.
Badge moves in looking to clinch but McGuire pushes him off.
Badge looks to land a body kick but McGuire moved away.
Badge misses with a hook.
Badge takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McGuire cracks Badge with an uppercut from hell and Badge crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of McGuire's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

McGuire tries to free his leg and advance position but Badge is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McGuire's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McGuire duly obliges.

McGuire on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Badge throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McGuire on the side of the head.
McGuire changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Badge tries to avoid it but McGuire manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Badge to the ground. Badge escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McGuire shoots in and drives through. Badge sprawls well.
Badge fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McGuire dives in and grabs Badge's left leg, looking for a takedown. Badge pushes down on McGuire's head and hops out.
McGuire shoots in looking for a takedown. Badge tries to sprawl out of it but McGuire keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Badge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Badge shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McGuire as he jumps to the side.
