Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilkka Mursu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Candy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mursu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Someday I'll be the Champ. Candy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: zZzz. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mursu is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Candy.
Mursu misses with a takedown attempt
and Candy counters with a nice uppercut.
Mursu takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice takedown defense from Candy. No joy for Mursu on that attempt.

Candy is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Mursu rather than just go for the knockout.

Mursu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mursu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mursu. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Candy jabs Mursu to the body, keeping him at a distance.
