And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Lesnar!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lesnar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Nash regains half guard.

Nash actively working from the bottom here.
Nash on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Nash tries to get out of the position.
Nash is pressing down on Lesnar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Nash working for a triangle but Lesnar defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nash looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Nash is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lesnar is aware though and is defending well.
Lesnar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lesnar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Nash pushes a forearm under Lesnar's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Lesnar is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
