Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Dueck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Chin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dueck slips a jab and a cross from Chin.
Chin misses with a few strikes there.
Chin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Dueck uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chin.
Dueck has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Chin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dueck shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dueck looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chin is fending him off so far but Dueck persists. Nope, Chin circles away and we're back to standing.
Dueck is breathing heavily.

Dueck really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dueck ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dueck no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Dueck closes the distance and clinches up with Chin, looking for a takedown. Dueck pushes Chin against the cage but Chin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dueck takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Chin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Chin is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chin can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dueck wants to control the pace but Chin is squirming around nicely.

Dueck in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Chin tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Dueck!
