Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Fry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Grovenor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grovenor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fight stays on the outside here - Grovenor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Grovenor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Grovenor throws a head kick that misses.
Grovenor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fry as he jumps to the side.

Fry catches Grovenor with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

That kick from Fry tenderised Grovenor's leg. Grovenor is trying to keep his angry face on.
Fry connects with a leg kick. Grovenor looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fry.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Fry. Grovenor shrugs it off though.

Fry buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fry dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Grovenor. That did some damage!
Grovenor is trying desperately to land a takedown but Fry is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Grovenor.

Fry throws a front kick that sends Grovenor stumbling back into the cage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Good leg kick by Fry there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Grovenor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fry circles away.
Fry dodges the punch combination from Grovenor.
Grovenor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Fry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fry cracks Grovenor with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Grovenor tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Fry pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Grovenor is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
