Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cy Path (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Taylor's choice of entrance music: Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Path takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Path.
Path throws a head kick that misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Taylor. Path does a little dance to reset his feet.
Path pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Taylor misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Path.
Path darts in trying to clinch
and Taylor counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Taylor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Path sprawls well initially but Taylor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Taylor wants to control but Path is keeping him busy.
Path won't allow Taylor to pass to mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Taylor is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taylor uses his free foot to push down on Path's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Path.
Path is looking to improve his position but Taylor isn't that keen on the idea.

Taylor lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Taylor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Taylor has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Path.
Path has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Taylor is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Path rather than just go for the knockout.
Path tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Taylor paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Path throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Path shoots in looking for a takedown but Taylor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Path's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Taylor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taylor wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cy Path. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Path shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Taylor as he jumps to the side.

Taylor throws a hook to the side of Path's head but Path sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Path is rocked!
Taylor is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Path flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Path is out cold! Taylor holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
