The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ernest rushes Scott and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Scott could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Scott is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ernest to keep the fight standing.

Ernest escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ernest drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ernest stands and steps away. Scott gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ernest scores with a shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A jab-cross combination lands for Ernest and sends Scott crashing to the mat! Ernest follows him down to the mat - Scott regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

Scott is rocked!

It looks like John Scott has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ernest stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Oh Scott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ernest plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Scott swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Scott face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
