Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ming Maoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo Sanchez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maoki rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanchez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Maoki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sanchez.
Maoki blocks a head kick by Sanchez.
Sanchez misses with a takedown
and Maoki counters by moving into the clinch.
Maoki lands a right hand.
Maoki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maoki swinging wildly here.
Maoki lands a slapping body shot.
Maoki moves into range and clinches up with Sanchez.
Maoki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sanchez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Maoki throws a body punch but Sanchez moves out of range.
Sanchez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Maoki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ming Maoki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricardo Sanchez.
Sanchez lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanchez looks for a takedown but Maoki sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanchez has his takedown stuffed
and Maoki counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sanchez misses with a body kick.
Maoki moves into the clinch.
Sanchez wants to break the clinch but can't.
Maoki lands with a short shot to the head.
Maoki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Maoki closes the distance and clinches.
A knee to the head by Sanchez.
Maoki slowing the pace effectively.
Maoki scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Sanchez gets control of Maoki's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sanchez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Maoki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Maoki postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanchez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Maoki, into his guard.
Maoki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanchez is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanchez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Maoki to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sanchez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Maoki pulls down on the head and he's put Sanchez to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ming Maoki!
Post fight, Ming Maoki took to the microphone: 'I have a great team that is helping me improve each fight. You will see me fighting in here every opportunity that I get, and I will work to make them all exciting.'.
