Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lord Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Mallon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vader comes to the cage accompanied by Same Ol' Road. Mallon has chosen im not afraid as his entrance music. John Mallon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Lord Vader's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 10 - 2, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lord Vader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Mallon!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mallon walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Jab, jab by Mallon - just one landing.
It looks like Lord Vader has been cut.
Vader circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vader looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mallon closes the distance looking to clinch
and Vader counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Vader.
Vader won't allow Mallon to sweep him here.
Vader will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vader throws a big right hand that misses.
Vader got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mallon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vader has managed to get both his arms back between Mallon's legs - danger averted.
Vader is looking to stand up but Mallon won't let him.
Vader working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Vader trying to control but Mallon is working from the bottom.
Mallon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Mallon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Vader won't allow Mallon to get back to his feet.
Vader working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mallon's head.
It looks like John Mallon has been cut.
Vader tries to free his leg and advance position but Mallon is retaining full guard.
Mallon has his foot on Vader's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vader works his way back into a safe position though.
Vader throws an elbow that misses. Mallon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vader's guard. Nice move by Mallon!
Vader working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mallon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mallon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mallon slips nicely into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vader misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mallon lands a nice short elbow.

Vader flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Vader looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mallon is trying to work for a kimura but Vader is defending well.
Vader is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mallon scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mallon throwing shots but Vader is blocking nicely.
Mallon works his way into side control.
Mallon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vader, who protects the arm well.
Vader is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mallon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Vader is pressing down on Mallon's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Mallon works over Vader with some ground and pound from guard.

Mallon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Mallon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Vader escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mallon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mallon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mallon postures up in Vader's guard and throws a big left but Vader blocks it.
Mallon advances position into side control!
Mallon lands a few punches from side control.
Vader is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Mallon scoring with punches and elbows.
Vader is looking to get back to his feet here but Mallon is keeping cool and he's managed to take Vader's back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mallon is trying to stick to Vader's back but Vader is turning into Mallon. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mallon's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Vader.

Vader avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Vader throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mallon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Vader trying to control the position from guard on top but Mallon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vader advances to half guard.
Mallon looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Vader prevents Mallon from improving his position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mallon manages to get to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Mallon dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Vader throws a sloppy head kick and Mallon moves out of range easily.
Vader staying out of range there.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mallon tries to clinch up but Vader circles away and keeps his distance.
Vader shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mallon as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vader is defended easily by Mallon.
A slow jab from Mallon misses its intended target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mallon scores with a nice strike.
Vader misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mallon.
Vader doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mallon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lord Vader. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Vader will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mallon throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Vader counters by moving into the clinch.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Mallon.
Vader wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mallon misses with the head strike.
Vader wants to get back to striking at distance but Mallon won't allow it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mallon gets underhooks to prevent Vader's takedown attempt.
Mallon throws a head punch that misses.
Mallon lands with a short shot to the head.
Mallon throws a punch but it's blocked by Vader.
Vader can't find room to land a body shot as Mallon controls the action.
Vader tries a body shot but Mallon blocks it.
Mallon lands a shoulder strike.
Vader escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vader ducks straight into an uppercut from Mallon and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Vader manages to regain guard straight away.
Vader is rocked!
Mallon gets to his feet and stands over Vader, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Vader felt that one! Mallon unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Vader from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Mallon!
After the fight, John Mallon was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
