PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donatello Vucci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karlos Vemola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vemola avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vucci comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A left and a right from Vucci both land. Nice combination.
Vemola shoots in for a double leg but Vucci sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vucci defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vemola.
Vucci misses with a few strikes there.
Vucci tries to close the distance and clinch but Vemola swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Horrible takedown by Vemola or perhaps it was just good defense by Vucci which made him look bad.

Vucci closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Vucci remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Vucci connects with a combination that backs up Vemola into the cage. Vucci lands a flurry of punches that gets past Vemola's guard. Vemola is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Vucci bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
