Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Ballinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minard comes to the cage accompanied by Walk. Ballinger is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by A Scottish Soldier by Andy Stewart. Ryan Ballinger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballinger loads up on a big right hand but Minard slips the punch.
Ballinger misses with a series of wild punches.
Ballinger throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ballinger tries to clinch but Minard moves out of range.
Minard is looking to land body kicks.
Ballinger throws a hook but Minard blocks it.
Ballinger fails to land with a series of punches.
Ballinger connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ballinger thows a left - swing and a miss!

Ballinger rushes Minard and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ballinger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Ballinger looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Ballinger misses the shot to the body.
Ballinger throws a sloppy head kick and Minard moves out of range easily.
Ballinger tries to close the distance and clinch but Minard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Minard thuds his shin into the meat of Ballinger's side.
Minard lands a leg kick that knocks Ballinger off balance momentarily.
Ballinger takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Minard lands with a thumping leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Minard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Ballinger takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Ballinger moves to clinch but Minard breaks away

so Minard counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ballinger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Minard sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ballinger's guard.
Ballinger is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Minard scores with a couple of nice shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Minard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Minard is nestled in close to Ballinger, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ballinger is rocked!
Minard lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Ballinger! More strikes land and this one is all over! Minard jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
