Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamed lands a nice shot to the body.

Requina uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hamed.

Hamed cracks Requina with a right hand to the side of the head.

Requina has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hamed after a bit of a struggle.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Requina has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hamed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Requina. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Requina tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hamed sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Requina somewhat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Requina looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Hamed moves in looking to clinch but Requina pushes him off.

Requina drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Requina wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hamed keeps working.
