Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maxwell Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doctor Pepper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pepper misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Green.
Green scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Green swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Pepper counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pepper.

Pepper is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Green is looking to sweep but instead, Pepper has passed into half guard.

Pepper decides to return to a standing position.

Green feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pepper has Green pulled in close to control his posture.
Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Pepper is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pepper is pulling down on Green's head. It's preventing any offense from Green, at least for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Green shoots in but no luck this time.
Maxwell Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Green looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Green wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pepper keeps working.
Pepper wants to control but Green is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pepper makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Green is keen to just control but Pepper is a slippery customer.
Green is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Green thows a huge punch but Pepper dodges it nicely.
Pepper flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Green tries to stand and escape but Pepper is controlling the position.
Pepper is trying to control but Green manages to pass to mount!
Green wants to control the pace but Pepper is squirming around nicely.
Pepper has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Green's lack of action.
Green knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pepper on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Green is just content to waste time from the top position. Pepper takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

A close round but Doctor Pepper will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Green shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Pepper but Pepper pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pepper takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Pepper shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Green defends it nicely.

Pepper gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Green takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Green is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pepper to keep the fight standing.

Pepper misses with a takedown attempt - Green sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Maxwell Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doctor Pepper.
Pepper is breathing heavily.
Green lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Green is taking a breather. Pepper says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Green wants to work for an arm triangle but Pepper is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Green wants to stand up but Pepper has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Green winds up and cracks Pepper with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Pepper pushes Green off looking to stand but Green dives back in and keeps control.
Maxwell Green overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Green pushes Pepper off and gets back to his feet.

Green shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pepper sprawls well. Pepper wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Green gets slowly back to his feet.

Green tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Green throws a head kick but Pepper moves out of range.

Pepper changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Green tries to avoid it but Pepper manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Green to the ground. Green escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Green stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Green jumps guard and drags Pepper to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Green shoots in for a double leg but Pepper sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Green throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pepper tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Green is in Pepper's guard.
Green keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pepper's head.
Green throws an elbow that misses. Pepper uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Green's guard. Nice move by Pepper!

Pepper wants to control but Green is keeping him busy.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Pepper looks up at the clock and then as Green takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Pepper smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Green is not content to let Pepper control the position.

Pepper has hold of Green's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Green tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pepper cranks the arm and Green screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Green, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
