Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marijo Palavra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derrick Rankinstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rankinstein scores with a nice strike.
Rankinstein goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Rankinstein lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Rankinstein connects with a crisp jab.

Rankinstein tries to bum rush Palavra with a series of wild strikes but Palavra uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rankinstein scores with a nice body kick.
Palavra doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Palavra misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rankinstein lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Rankinstein dips to his left and cracks Palavra with an uppercut!
Palavra with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rankinstein to score with a decent uppercut.
Rankinstein tries to bum rush Palavra with a series of wild strikes but Palavra uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Palavra shoots in looking for a takedown but Rankinstein manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Palavra's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rankinstein throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Palavra stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

No joy there for Rankinstein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Palavra will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Rankinstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Rankinstein uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Palavra has time to react.

Palavra shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Rankinstein slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Derrick Rankinstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rankinstein walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Palavra drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Rankinstein swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Palavra's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
