Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kay Nine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roman Parhomenko!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nine looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A decent looking cross lands there for Nine.

Nine drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nine throws a big elbow that misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nine engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Nine content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Nine controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Parhomenko keeping moving, preventing Nine from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kay Nine just wasn't active enough.
Nine swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Nine takes a little break here. Parhomenko wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Nine sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Parhomenko is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Nine wants to control but Parhomenko is keeping him busy.
Nine is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Parhomenko's shoulder. That is not cool.

Nine closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nine decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Nine throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nine is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Parhomenko defends it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nine frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Parhomenko is refusing to be controlled, as Nine sits in half guard.

Nine postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Parhomenko looks a forlorn figure.
Nine takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Nine scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Kay Nine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nine tries to control but Parhomenko wriggling away.

Nine takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Parhomenko is in a horrible position here. Nine smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nine wants to control the pace but Parhomenko is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Nine's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!



Nine gets a takedown into half guard.
Nine content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Nine is working for a kimura but Parhomenko is defending it quite comfortably.

Nine wants to pass to mount but Parhomenko is defending the position.
Nine not doing much here.

We're going to have a standup here because Kay Nine wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Parhomenko enables Nine to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Parhomenko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Parhomenko has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Nine is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Parhomenko.
Parhomenko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Nine trying to control the action but Parhomenko is working from the bottom.

Nine tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Nine is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Parhomenko can do to turn this around?

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nine wants to take a breather but Parhomenko manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Nine.

Roman Parhomenko has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nine controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kay Nine is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kay Nine.

Nine looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Parhomenko!

Kay Nine showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Nine has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
