Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Hrenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Valuyskiy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ivan Hrenov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Hrenov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Aleksandr Valuyskiy!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hrenov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


It looks like Aleksandr Valuyskiy has been cut.
Nice straight punches there by Hrenov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hrenov.
Hrenov swings for the body but Valuyskiy moves out of range.
Hrenov darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Valuyskiy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hrenov wants to get back to his feet but Valuyskiy drags him back down.
Valuyskiy creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hrenov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Hrenov is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Valuyskiy postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Valuyskiy tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Valuyskiy misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Valuyskiy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hrenov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Hrenov tries to lock up and control but Valuyskiy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Valuyskiy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Valuyskiy is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hrenov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hrenov shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Valuyskiy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hrenov is looking to escape.

Valuyskiy has control of Hrenov's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hrenov regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Hrenov avoids a series of strikes thrown by Valuyskiy.
Hrenov is squirming around, avoiding Valuyskiy's attempts to control the action.
Valuyskiy unloads with some shots from mount but Hrenov bucks and avoids them well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hrenov is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Valuyskiy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hrenov wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Valuyskiy.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Valuyskiy has a closed guard, preventing Hrenov from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice body punch from Hrenov.
Valuyskiy shoots and misses
and Hrenov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hrenov lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Valuyskiy goes down and covers up as Hrenov starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Hrenov!
