The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malone shoots in for a double leg but Jack sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Samurai Jack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Malone.
Nice takedown defense from Jack. No joy for Malone on that attempt.

Malone takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jack stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jack wants it to stay on the feet.

Malone shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jack pinned against the cage. Jack gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jack lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A solid leg kick lands there for Jack.
Malone takes a shot to the body in his stride.
