Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and GeJay Cafrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, GeJay Cafrey!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cafrey tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kingston manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kingston fails to land the takedown.

Kingston rushes Cafrey and presses him up against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cafrey takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Cafrey gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Ryan Kingston has been cut.

Kingston ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kingston no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kingston really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Cafrey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kingston. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. GeJay Cafrey wasn't active enough on the ground.

Kingston has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cafrey throws an elbow but it misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cafrey lands an elbow inside that Kingston shrugs off.

Cafrey is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Cafrey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cafrey scores with a jab.
Sloppy strikes from Cafrey. Those never looked like landing.
Nice sprawl there from Cafrey as Kingston shoots in.

Kingston drops back looking for a leg! Cafrey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cafrey manages to kick Kingston off! Kingston jumps back into Cafrey's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kingston in particular looking to stall.

Kingston is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cafrey sees it coming and defends easily.

Cafrey tries to kick Kingston off in order to stand up. Kingston Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Cafrey is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kingston asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Kingston slows the pace down.
Kingston seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cafrey for as long as he can get away with.
Kingston scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cafrey to see if he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kingston tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kingston has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Cafrey is pushing Kingston's head away, looking to escape. Kingston manages to hold on to the position though.

Ryan Kingston overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cafrey can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kingston is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cafrey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Cafrey is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kingston is controlling him well.

Kingston jumps guard but Cafrey stands there with Kingston around his waist. Kingston gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ryan Kingston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kingston shoots in for a takedown but Cafrey shows good takedown defense.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
