Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christian Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Forrest Buck Jr!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buck Jr dives in and grabs Jacobs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jacobs pushes down on Buck Jr's head and hops out.
Jacobs walks into a straight right hand from Buck Jr.
Buck Jr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Buck Jr misses with a jab, cross combination.
Buck Jr shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jacobs as he jumps to the side.
Christian Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Jacobs counters with a right hand to the body.

Buck Jr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jacobs but Jacobs pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Let's hope that Buck Jr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Buck Jr goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jacobs lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Buck Jr has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jacobs.

Buck Jr doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacobs circles away.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jacobs lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Buck Jr has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Buck Jr and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Buck Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jacobs swivels though and keeps the full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Forrest Buck Jr hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Buck Jr looks to land a combination but Jacobs avoids it well.
Buck Jr blocks a low kick nicely.
Buck Jr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Good leg kick by Jacobs there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Buck Jr closes the distance and clinches up with Jacobs, looking for a takedown. Buck Jr pushes Jacobs against the cage but Jacobs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jacobs leaves Buck Jr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Buck Jr on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Buck Jr's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A jab lands there for Jacobs.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Buck Jr throws a right and a left that Jacobs avoids nicely.
Jacobs lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Christian Jacobs showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jacobs has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
