The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laane jabs at Khris's body.
Laane attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Laane pushes Khris up against the cage in a clinch.

Laane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Khris throws a right and a left that both miss.
Khris is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Laane throws a combination. Khris tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Laane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Andrus Laane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice shot lands for Laane.
Laane works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Khris should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Laane is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Laane looks to score with a jab to the body but Khris is just out of range.
Khris shoots for a double leg takedown but Laane sprawls well. He's pushed Khris's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Khris looks gassed!

Laane cracks Khris with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Laane has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Khris to stand back up!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Good leg kick by Laane there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Khris is still on wobbly legs! Can Laane finish him?
Laane is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Khris hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
