The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allison blocks a head kick by Frantz.

Allison shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Frantz pinned against the cage. Frantz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Allison is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Frantz to keep the fight standing.
WiLL Frantz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Allison.
Frantz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Allison has him pressed against the cage.
Allison drops down looking for an ankle pick but Frantz pulls his leg out and moves away.
Frantz tries a head kick but it misses.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Allison is looking to take a break and control but Frantz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Allison is staying tight to Frantz's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Allison sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Frantz is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Frantz pivots, looking for a leg kick but Allison is out of range and Frantz settles back down.

Allison lands a jab-cross combination.
Allison seems to have recovered his senses.
Frantz blocks the body kick.
A clash of legs there as Allison blocks the low kick.
Allison throws a series of punches but Frantz moves out of range.
Frantz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Allison tries to bum rush Frantz with a series of wild strikes but Frantz uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Frantz connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Allison! He's out on his feet! Frantz rushes in and drops Allison with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
