Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dire Strait (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spider Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dire Strait!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Spider Machida!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida instigates a clinch.
Machida working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Machida lands with a left to the head.
Strait misses with a hook from the clinch.
Strait is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Machida pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Machida lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Strait backwards.
Machida lands a shot to the body.
Strait takes a knee right on the jaw!
A body shot lands from Machida.
Machida lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Strait is looking to break free of the clinch but Machida has double underhooks.
Machida is pressed up against the cage. Strait has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Machida down to the mat. Machida avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Machida misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Strait shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dire Strait. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Machida punishes Strait's body with a nice straight punch.
Strait is breathing heavily.
Machida lands the left hand.
Machida misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Strait.
Machida lands with a straight right. Strait didn't see that one coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Machida lands a big head kick that sends Strait tumbling to the mat! Machida takes a step backwards and waves Strait back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Strait is rocked!
Machida connects with a body shot.
Machida and Strait are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Machida throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Strait into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Machida knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Spider Machida!
