The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vartanov shoots in and bounces Guerrero off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Vartanov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Vartanov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Guerrero connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Vartanov scrambles back to his feet.

Jorik Vartanov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cayetano Guerrero hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Guerrero is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cayetano Guerrero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Vartanov or perhaps it was just good defense by Guerrero which made him look bad.

Vartanov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guerrero sprawls well initially but Vartanov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Guerrero is looking for a sweep. Vartanov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
