The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Artard shoots for a takedown but Bonnar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Artard.
Artard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Loki Artard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bonnar stuffs the takedown attempt from Artard. Artard gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Artard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bonnar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Artard to the mat! Artard manages to get full guard.

Artard looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bonnar passes into half guard.
Bonnar working over Artard with some ground and pound. Artard looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

It looks like Loki Artard has been cut.
Artard is in trouble now - Bonnar has advanced to mount!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bonnar postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Artard looks a forlorn figure.

Artard is rocked!
Bonnar looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Artard covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
