Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banks comes into the arena with White and Nerdy blaring out of the sound system. Jackson has chosen Battle Royal as his entrance music. Peter Jackson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Banks persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Michael Banks has been cut.

Banks is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jackson's half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Banks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Michael Banks has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Jackson throws a jab but it's blocked by Banks.

Jackson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Jackson looks to land a combination but Banks avoids it well.
Banks misses with a few strikes there.

Jackson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Peter Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Banks misses with a head kick.
Banks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Banks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Banks. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Banks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jackson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Jackson lands a big right hand that sends Banks crashing to the mat! Jackson stays standing though and waves Banks back to his feet!

Banks is rocked!
Banks drops his hands momentarily. Jackson doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Banks staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Banks doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
