Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Haka Maka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McClane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maka comes to the cage accompanied by Island Music. The crowd seem to be enjoying McClane's choice of entrance music: Immortal Technique -- Point of No Return. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Haka Maka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John McClane!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McClane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Maka wants to clinch up but McClane keeps it at a distance.
Maka shoots in looking for a takedown. McClane tries to sprawl out of it but Maka keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McClane manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McClane throws a combination that misses
enabling Maka to counter with a crisp jab.
McClane misses with a jab, cross combination.
McClane throws a right and a left that Maka avoids nicely.
Horrible takedown by McClane or perhaps it was just good defense by Maka which made him look bad.
Maka wants to clinch.
McClane misses with a left hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
McClane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McClane fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
McClane dodges the punch combination from Maka.
McClane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Maka slips under a jab.

Maka closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Maka goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, McClane has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Maka but great work by McClane.
Maka is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Maka takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Maka tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McClane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Maka stops McClane from passing to mount.
McClane prevents Maka from escaping the position.
McClane moves into full mount!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Maka really wants to buck McClane off and get back to his feet.

McClane misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

McClane is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Maka can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
McClane lands a big shot to the head and Maka winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
