Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Testa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shika Li (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Testa closes the distance and pushes Li back into the cage.

Testa manages to break the clinch.

Li manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Testa on his heels. He'll look to pass Testa's guard now, I'm sure.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Li gets to his feet - Testa follows without any prompting.
Li tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Testa swivels and escapes.
Li throws a head kick that half lands.
Testa takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Testa shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Li will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Testa lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Li is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Testa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Li has a takedown stuffed.
Li swats away the attempt to clinch by Testa.
Testa throws a head kick but Li moves out of range.
Testa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Testa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Li but Li pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Li throws a series of punches but Testa moves out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Li blocks the leg kick.
Testa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Testa wants it to stay on the feet.

Li has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Li closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Testa to the mat! Testa manages to get full guard.
Li wants to control from the top but Testa keeps moving.
Testa looking to hit a scissor sweep but Li is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Shika Li was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Li looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Testa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Li wants to work for an arm triangle but Testa is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Li is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Testa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Li seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Testa does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Li is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Shika Li.

Testa moves in looking to clinch but Li pushes him off.
Li throws a good cross that connects.

Li jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Testa walks away with a smile on his face. Li gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Chuck Testa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Testa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Li defends it nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
