Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DeMarcus Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell misses with the combination.
Flint looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

DeMarcus Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Liddell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Flint moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Liddell looks to land a combination but Flint avoids it well.
Liddell throws the kick towards the body but Flint avoids it.
Flint fails in his attempt to clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flint clinches up with Liddell and pushes him back against the cage.

Liddell jumps guard but Flint stands there with Liddell around his waist. Liddell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Flint wants to stall.
Flint tries to score a body lock takedown but Liddell shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Liddell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Flint slips a jab and a cross from Liddell.
Liddell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Liddell throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Flint has Liddell up against the cage in a clinch.

Liddell has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Flint clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
You can see the frustration on Flint's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Liddell lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Liddell.

Liddell has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Flint has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Liddell has good solid back control here.
Let's hope that Liddell has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Liddell is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Flint has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
