Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boots McShoelace!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McShoelace tries a head kick but it misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Reed drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Reed postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reed looking to pass the guard.
Reed loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Reed thows a big elbow that misses.
Reed with a flurry of punches that miss.

McShoelace has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Reed can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
McShoelace working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reed.
Reed trying to control but McShoelace is working from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Reed misses with a two punch combination.
Boots McShoelace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McShoelace throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McShoelace throws a head kick that Reed semi-blocks.
McShoelace slips a jab and a cross from Reed.
Reed misses with a jab, cross combination.
McShoelace tries a head kick but it misses.

A swing and a miss from Reed.

Reed closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McShoelace to the mat! McShoelace manages to get full guard.
Reed postures up and lands a big shot to McShoelace's brow.
McShoelace looks gassed!
Reed working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McShoelace's head.
McShoelace keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.

Reed trying to control but McShoelace is working from the bottom.
McShoelace is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

McShoelace utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

McShoelace is working an open guard so Reed takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Reed misses with the combination.
McShoelace misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McShoelace pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A kick lands to the mid section there for McShoelace.

McShoelace slips a jab from Reed.
Reed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McShoelace throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Reed.
Reed throws a nice looking combination but McShoelace bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McShoelace throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Reed drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
An elbow from Reed crashes against the mat.

Reed tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The strikes coming from Reed are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
McShoelace takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.


It looks like Boots McShoelace has been cut.
McShoelace gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Reed lands a big elbow.
Reed lands a heavy elbow.


The cut above Boots McShoelace's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Boots McShoelace's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
