Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chester Copperpot!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Johnson is defended easily by Copperpot.

Copperpot closes the distance and pushes Johnson back into the cage.
Copperpot is trying to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling him.
Copperpot tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Johnson avoids it.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Johnson as Copperpot tries to tie him up.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Copperpot just misses with a elbow thrown towards Johnson's brow.
Johnson trying to control the position but instead, Copperpot has worked for underhooks and has pushed Johnson into the cage.
Copperpot lands a knee to the body.

Johnson drags the fight down to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Johnson is looking for a triangle but Copperpot pushes his legs off easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Copperpot wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
Copperpot looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Copperpot wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Johnson looking for a triangle here. Copperpot is fighting it but it looks tight! Johnson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Copperpot is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Roger Johnson!
Roger Johnson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
