And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kabulla scores with a nice body kick.
Ronald Kabulla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kabulla shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kabulla gets the takedown into side control.
Owens is looking to regain half guard here but Kabulla keeps moving and retains side control.
Owens is trying to control Kabulla's posture but Kabulla avoids it.
Owens throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Kabulla looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Owens is trying to improve his position.

Owens can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Owens gets caught flat footed, as Kabulla shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kabulla sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Owens's guard.
Owens tries to roll over but Kabulla keeps him under control.
Owens moves into full guard.

Kabulla's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kabulla wants to stand but Owens is controlling his posture from full guard.

Owens is looking for a triangle but Kabulla pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Owens is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kabulla avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Owens looking for a triangle here. Kabulla is fighting it but it looks tight! Owens pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Kabulla is tapping out - this one is all over!
