The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richmond tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Richmond.


It looks like Santhiago Silva has been cut.
Josh Richmond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Richmond cracks Silva with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Richmond sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Richmond sprawls well. Richmond wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

Well Richmond has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
