The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Quick clinches with his opponent.
Quick is trying to pull guard but Fedja turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Fedja gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Quick regains guard.

Quick is looking for a triangle but Fedja pushes his legs off easily.

Quick is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fedja is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Fedja wants to control from the top but Quick keeps moving.
Quick is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Fedja would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Quick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Quick looking for a guillotine here but Fedja defends easily.

Fedja gets to his feet - Quick follows without any prompting.
Quick fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fedja fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Quick avoids it really well and circles away.
Quick gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fedja.

Fedja swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Quick.
Quick shoots in looking for a takedown. Fedja tries to sprawl out of it but Quick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fedja manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fjodor Fedja has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Quick.

and Fedja counters with a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Quick steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fedja.
Quick shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fedja as he jumps to the side.
Fedja shoots in and drives through. Quick sprawls well.

and Fedja counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Fedja stands and steps away. Quick gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Quick gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fedja to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Quick is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Fedja stands and steps away. Quick gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Fedja lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Quick - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Fedja!
