The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hellwig misses with a takedown attempt - Ehtoo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hellwig.
Hellwig closes the distance and clinches up with Ehtoo, looking for a takedown. Hellwig pushes Ehtoo against the cage but Ehtoo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Hellwig. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hellwig isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ehtoo stacks Hellwig on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ehtoo!

Hellwig tries for a takedown but Ehtoo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ehtoo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ehtoo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hellwig to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hellwig chips away with some ground and pound.
Hellwig wants to stand and escape but instead Ehtoo has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Hellwig looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ehtoo has picked Hellwig up and slammed him! Hellwig can't keep hold of the triangle and Ehtoo manages to pass to side control!
Hellwig is trying to control Ehtoo's posture but Ehtoo avoids it.
Hellwig is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ehtoo off and has taken his back!

Hellwig throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Ehtoo!
Hellwig is not going to allow Ehtoo to sit and survive in this position.

Hellwig working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Ehtoo is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Hellwig has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Ehtoo taps out!
