The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Gonzales shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jacobs's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Gonzales is trying to break the clinch but Jacobs is controlling him.

Gonzales is trying to force a seperation but Jacobs has the dominant position.
Jacobs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Gonzales ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Jacobs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jacobs pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Jacobs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gonzales shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jacobs but Jacobs pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jacobs works Gonzales's body with a nice hook.
Jacobs throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jacobs clinches up with Gonzales and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gonzales on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Jacobs keeps control of Gonzales as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gonzales is trying to maintain a safe position but Jacobs gets an underhook and turns Gonzales into the cage.
Jacobs lands an uppercut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jacobs misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Gonzales.

Jacobs presses Gonzales against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Horatio Jacobs dominated that round.

Gonzales ducks under a wild hook from Jacobs.
Gonzales shoots for a double leg takedown but Jacobs sprawls well. He's pushed Gonzales's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Gonzales checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jacobs throws a head kick that misses.
Jacobs bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gonzales's head backwards.
Jacobs stalks Gonzales and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gonzales's face. Gonzales staggers backwards, shaken.
Gonzales is rocked!
It looks like Hugo Gonzales has been cut.
Jacobs throws a nice outside leg kick.
Oh Gonzales is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gonzales bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Jacobs comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Gonzales falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Gonzales was out before he hit the floor!
