Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hannibal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Nykanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Hannibal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matti Nykanen!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hannibal throws a front kick that sends Nykanen stumbling back into the cage.
Hannibal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nykanen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hannibal looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nykanen scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

It looks like Jason Hannibal has been cut.
Hannibal wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hannibal shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nykanen as he jumps to the side.
Nykanen jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Nykanen rushes Hannibal and presses him up against the cage.

Hannibal breaks the clinch.
Nykanen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nykanen ducks right into an uppercut from Hannibal.
Nykanen looks gassed!

Nykanen shoots in and bounces Hannibal off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hannibal lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nykanen!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nykanen tries to lock up and control but Hannibal gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Poor strikes thrown by Hannibal there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Hannibal content just to control the position here.
Nykanen is trying to escape the mount.
Hannibal takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hannibal's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hannibal tries to control but Nykanen wriggling away.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jason Hannibal.
Hannibal is looking to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nykanen takes a jab right on the kisser.
Hannibal tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nykanen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hannibal circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Nykanen drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Hannibal follows Nykanen to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
