Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hayato Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Suk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakurai comes to the cage accompanied by Holy Orders . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suk tries to land a leg kick but Sakurai saw it coming and moves away.
Sakurai throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sakurai scores with a hook to the body. Suk takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Sakurai takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Suk tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sakurai was well out of range. Poor timing from Suk.

Sakurai thuds his right hand into Suk's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Suk feints and then cracks Sakurai's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sakurai down.

Sakurai will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Suk fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sakurai has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
